ANDREA ODEZYNSKA

Andrea Odezynska, has created, narrative, documentary, and experimental films.

Variety has praised her work's,  “beautiful iconic images.” 


Andrea’s first comedy Dora Was Dysfunctional was a Winner at the Hampton's Film Festival and the Rotterdam Film Festival, and she has received additional honors and awards at the Kansas City, Kansas Film Festival, the Through Women's Eyes International Film Festival in Sarasota, Florida, and the Princeton Environmental Film Festival.   Recently, her documentary, Felt, Feelings and Dreams toured U.S. film festivals paired with feature documentary The Mosuo Sisters (now on PBS).


Andrea has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, NYSCA The New York State Council on the Arts and the Robert Wise Foundation. 


 Andrea has an M.F.A. in Film Directing from the American Film Institute Conservatory in Hollywood, CA. She has a B.A. in Theatre from Bennington College, VT. She studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. ​
